What a year!
Here we are on 22 December 2017! I’ve had a whirlwind of a year and I hope everyone reading this has had a similarly good, hard- working, positive time? I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some super-talented, passionate and hard-working people for 12 months – both clients, colleagues and media. You are truly inspiring and I’ve learnt such a lot from you all. Thank you!
Highlights of work this year include planning the PR and publicity for a (highly successful) live outdoor concert in the grounds of Alnwick Castle (as well as lots of other events at Alnwick Castle), talking to MPs at a Parliamentary event in Westminster, creating numerous short films for social media and websites, managing tricky media crises, marketing (offline and online) the amazing, creative talents of UK workplace designers Ben Johnson Interiors and working with the brilliant marketing team at the Centre for Life on their great new website. And throughout the year, as in every one of the 10 years (eek!) that I’ve been running KSPR, I’ve been promoting my wonderful part of the world – Northumberland and the North East – to visitors from every corner of the globe.
There’s always more to learn in this game and my work has changed beyond all recognition to what it was when I started out 10 years ago. I’ve been learning lots of whizzy new approaches and IT techniques this year – some easier than others – but it’s always worth it in the end.
So here’s to every one of us learning lots more new stuff in 2018 and embracing the challenges, as well as the joys the year will bring. A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
With best wishes from
